Public Presentation Events by Upstate NY IANDS are tentatively planned every 2 months

Jan 12, 2007 from 6 – 9 pm.

Virginia Waldron, will explore the similarities between Spiritual Regression and Near-Death Experiences.

Have you ever wondered where you were before you came here? Virginia Waldron, Certified Hypnotist and Spiritual Regressionist gave us an exploration of Spiritual Regression based on the ground breaking work of Dr. Michael Newton. Also known as Life Between Lives, this regression work is one of the most powerful tools to heal, grow and evolve. We also compared this process to the Near Death Experience to find the similarities and common aftereffects for both experienences.

Todd Sahm shares his NDE, and Linnea shares her experience with the regression work.

Virginia R. Waldron, M.S., CHt.

Friday March 9, 2007 from 6 – 9 pm.

We have Sinead Wilder from Rochester as our experiencer. Sinead Wilder is a childhood near death experiencer - she was attacked and choked to death when she was 9 years old. About 5 years ago she began to remember in much greater detail what happened during her NDE. On the anniversary of her “D” day, she relives the experience of dying and going ‘home’. As she does, more and more pieces of that experience are returned to her. Sinead has also studied and worked a great deal on the shamanic path.

Here is some of what Sinead has to say; I was aware that dying as a child caused me to have a much different developmental pattern than much of the general population experiences.  Somehow knowing of the “oneness” at such an early age precluded me from really experiencing differentiating or individuating myself in the same way.  But that was very confusing for me, because I was caught in the thinking that oneness is the name of the game and that somehow we had it confused here on earth and I needed to somehow bring that oneness here.

Recently Sinead has worked with Virginia Waldron and underwent a Life Between Life session that has helped tremendously with her integration. I’m sure she will share some of her new insights from this wonderful work. Sinead is a wonderful loving soul and you will not want to miss her experience.

May 8, 2007 from 6 – 9 pm.

Upstate New York IANDS (International Association for Near-Death Studies) is having their next event on Tuesday May 8, 2007 from 6 – 9 pm.  They will have Shelley Yates of Halifax, Nova Scotia, speaking.  Yates is a near-death experiencer from Canada who is bearing a message of hope for our planet and its inhabitants during a speaking tour of the northeastern United States.  During the current “Fire the Grid” speaking tour, Yates is also scheduled to address audiences in: Virginia Beach; Central Virginia; Arlington, VA; Madison, Wisconsin; and Chicago, Illinois.

Shelley Yates and her young son miraculously survived a drowning accident when their car skidded off the road during a heavy rain storm in November 2002.  It took Yates’ rescuers fifteen minutes to pull her lifeless body from her submerged car and another seven minutes of CPR to revive her.  Her four-year-old son, who was rescued after being under water for over 25 minutes, was flown to the hospital where Drs felt he was indeed brain dead. He made a completely unexpected full recovery after dozens of people visited his hospital room to share their loving energy with him.

Mrs. Yates is on a mission to share a divine message of hope garnered as a result of her near-death experience.  She is visiting our area to encourage people living here to participate in a global project of loving intention for our planet earth and its inhabitants this coming summer.  Human beings from around the globe will be joining together spiritually in a one-hour meditation to channel Divine energy toward our planet and for the enlightenment of all humanity beginning at 11:11 Greenwich Mean Time (that is 6:11 to 7:11 Eastern Standard Time) on July 17, 2007.

Yates is convinced that this spiritual event will serve as a catalyst for the recovery of our planet’s energy field just as this same sort of human effort lead to her son’s amazing revival.  You can learn more about Shelley Yates’ near-death experience, her spiritual insights, and the plan she feels directed to share with us about firing up the Earth’s energy grid at her web site, www.firethegrid.com , and during her presentation here in Central NY.

The event will be held at the Maplewood Inn 400 Seventh North St., Liverpool, NY 13088 in the Laurel room. Discussion begins promptly at 6:30 pm. A $10 donation is requested, to help cover the costs of bringing Mrs. Yates to Central NY

Friday July 13, 2007 from 6 – 9 pm.

Dr. Deborah Wilkinson from New Hartford belongs to a special group of healthcare
professionals: trained in nursing, oncology, educational psychology, counseling, and end-of-life issues; having worked as a healthcare provider, researcher, and educator; experienced with patient populations ranging from pediatric to gerontological; and having a personal history that includes a near-death experience.

Dr. Wilkinson will speak about her near-death experience.  She died in an auto accident in 1975 when the VW Bus she was in went off the road, rolled over four times and ejected her. She landed forty yards away beside the road. In her experience she was presented a choice to return to this life or come back in the next life to complete what was shown to her in the “Book of Promises”.

Long before her NDE she had other experiences. First was a pre-death premonition, at the age of 14. “I knew my mother would die. I kept seeing the last night I would see her for months before.” When Deborah was working as a nurse she saw the silver chord snap above the head of a patient she was taking care of when the patient died.

Since her own near-death experience, Dr. Wilkinson has researched and published on the subject of loss, death, and dying. She has provided numerous courses, workshops, and talks on the subject to medical, psychology, and counseling audiences in a number of higher education, community, and media venues. She also has studied alternative medical approaches including Dolores Krieger's Therapeutic Touch, Barbara Brennan's energy healing, and indigenous healing practices. Dr. Wilkinson is an excellent speaker has a remarkable account to share; you will not want to miss her talk, which will be followed by discussions.

This meeting is at the Maplewood Inn, 400 Seventh North St., Liverpool, NY 13088 in the Willow East room. Discussion begins promptly at 6:30 pm. A $5 donation is requested, but no one will be turned away.

September 21, 2007 from 6 – 9 pm

Upstate New York IANDS (International Association for Near-Death Studies) is having a special event on Friday September 21, 2007 from 6 – 9 pm. Ken Prather is a hospice and near-death counselor in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He facilitates the Ft. Wayne IANDS group. Ken is founder of the outreach program, Reaching for Joy. Most recently he has been named as a spokesperson for Spondylitis Association of America

Ken Prather has had two near-death experiences (NDEs). His first happened when he was nine years old as a result of a medication reaction. He fell into a coma and found himself floating in the corner of a room at the hospital. Ken then witnessed a minister and family members give him the “Last Rights”.

In 1998 he received a brutal beating by five men with baseball bats; it was due to this beating that he spent 32 days on life support, three months in the hospital and three years in a longterm physical rehabilitation center. In addition, He had total organ failure and a broken back. While on life support he experienced his second near-death experience. Ken saw many beings of light. It was a journey to love, compassion, and the planes of knowledge. It was a journey where time does not exist. It was a journey home. Many miracles have occurred in his life, including an amazing healing which allowed him to walk again, after many months in a wheelchair.

Many articles have been written about his experiences and now, he is writing a book about them called My Journey Back. Ken also writes poetry, inspirational stories and spends much of his time in hospice work. Recently he has been working with the Spondylitis Association of America as a lecturer and a one on one counselor. You can find more information about Ken Prather’s outreach work and NDE at www.ReachingForJoy.org

The event will be held at the Maplewood Inn 400 Seventh North St., Liverpool, NY 13088 in the Laurel room. Discussion begins promptly at 6:30 pm. A $10 donation is requested, to help cover the costs of bringing Mr. Prather to Central NY

November 9, 2007 ~ 6 - 9 pm

Dave Bennett (Upstate NY IANDS President) will be speaking on the Six Major Challenges Faced by Near-Death Experiencers once coming back to life! Based on a paper written by IANDS President Yolaine M. Stout, Linda Jacquin and P.M.H. Atwater.

We think you will relate whether you have had a Near Death Experience or not! This information comes from the first retreat for NDErs with 25 Near Death Experiencers (including Dave) attending. The retreat was a phenomenal experience, to spend three day with only experiencers was incredibly liberating. We could communicate openly and share our difficulties. It was ground breaking, P.M.H. Atwater one of the longest researcher in Near-Death studies had never heard of that many experiencers meeting together before.

So we all helped in putting this report together. You will find it helpful for facing many of life's obstacles. The solutions to the challenges give a path that everyone can follow to overcome adversities.
